Used horizontal hobbing machine added to stock list
Star SU has added a used Pfauter PE 125H hobbing machine to its stock machine list. This horizontal hobber was manufactured in 1994 and comes with a FANUC CNC control.
The Pfauter PE 125 H horizontal CNC hobbing machine is built with a heavily ribbed, double-wall frame and minimal length drive trains to provide maximum static and dynamic rigidity. The work table comprises two worms and worm gears, preloaded hydraulically to guarantee zero backlash through the life of the machine. The hob spindle drive is also backlash free.
Work table and hob spindle rotation, as well as, radial, axial, tangential and hob swivel movements are CNC controlled to generate required number of teeth and accurate helix angle. No change gears are used.
